You answered your own question actually. v.31 is the latest firmware in which you can just simply install HelloOx and associated content to hack your 5800. Later v40/50 firmwares are still hackable, just not by using HelloOx

Thanks for your responses. I found that with diligence, I was able to get the screen to align but it would be out of alignment again in about 1/2 hour. On the Palm site it suggests running the corner of a piece of paper around the screen under the bezel about 1/8 inch, and it worked!
