In 1999, yeah, I'd probably rather watch "Family Guy" than "The Simpsons". In 2009, however, even though neither show interests me anymore, I'd still take "The Simpsons" if I had to choose. The effort may be minimal and the results may be uneven at best, but at least they're trying.
