    Cosigner defaulted on loan, other person paid off the car...now the first cosigner...

    Nothing, if you co-sign this is what happens. dump the car and the payments and take the hit. why pay to fix then pay off a car that isnt yours. if he's a jerk he could take back the car once it is fixed. BTW what financial institution lonas people money and doesnt require full coverage insurance?

    contact the bank. no one is gonna give you the money to pay off your car and hope you are nice and give them the pink. you arent the first person to sell a car they owed money on. they can send you the info/forms neccesarry
