    Well, not that I see gold as "real money", whatever the hell that is, it lost .16% (GOING OFF YOUR FIGURE) against the dollar. That is if you are concerned with that unit of calculation, which most Gold Bugs are not.

    I think you are right Also have you noticed the coins of our currency are being made with cheaper metals? History has shown that almost every empire has fallen due to inflation and economic collapse.
