try silver dollars if your tank is big enough (30g +) or you can go with mollies or guppies for smaller tanks

It might be "begging". Ive heard that oscars can recognize their owners and do things like whirling around and flapping around to call u to them

The fish might be a redtail botia..its a type of loach and can eat other fish. So unless u want to end up with a bunch more dead fish u have to remove it from the tank.
