    itunes says my videos cannot be read in my iphone, why?

    i have many mp4 videos but i cannot copy them to my iphone, everytime i copy one it says the video cannot be read because iphone doesnt support!!! they all are mp4 files but what should i do? should i convert them or change their codec or something? thanks
