Didnt make sense to me, the codes tell you what is wrong... then the mechanic, who is supposed to be ceritifed and knows what he is doing, would troubleshoot and diagnose any other problems. Just replacing parts and then saying, hey lets see what happens is BS and not acceptable.

First check your power steering fluid. It might be low. If it is fine then the pump isnt working right. You might need to change it.
