    Laptop to tv with hdmi?

    Im trying to connect my laptop to my tv with an hdmi cable, but it doesn't do anything, no picture and no sound. I go to sounds in the control panel and it says my hdmi audio output isn't plugged in. I've connected it to the tv a few times before, I don't know why its suddenly not working...
