    just bought myself my first fishing pole!?

    most spinning reels can be reversed as to which side the handle is on, some unscrew with a reverse thread, some have a screw that comes thru from the other side, best bet is to look at any paper work you got with it or look it up on line, don;t know what kind you have but they do go on either side
