    why do some people put a cellphone on their ear when they arent even calling anyone.?

    i see it sometimes. when a person is walking that person puts the cellphone on his/her ear. then after a while he/she pockets the fn. sometimes sitting wd frnds, the same is done. i observe they dont dial on it or if they are supposedly being called why dnt they talk? they just put the cellfn on...
