    It'll cost about $700 if you do the water pump at the same time which most dealers will recommend. I wouldn't put it off because a broken or slipped timing belt means a minimum $2000 repair. Some crappy cars like a Chevy Aveo will break theirs at 50k - 60k, but a Honda will go about 100k.

    Use a snake. It's a stiff piece of metal that comes on a coil - much like a tape measure, only stiffer. Electricians use them to pull wires through conduit. You could probably rent one somewhere.
