at 30K....here's what's recommended:
a) oil and filter change
b) engine air filter change
c) cabin air filter
d) tire rotation
e) drain and refill transmission fluid
f) check/adjust brakes if necessary
and it sounds like you need brakes...probably the fronts. get them looked at when u get ur...
your battery might be the problem. batteries have a higher stress level during hot and cold weather. try replacing the battery first. if that doesn't help, it might be something more major and i suggest getting it looked at by a technician
i'd take the 08. it's got the same feeling as the 07 but hte 08's got an extra horsepower (doesn't really make a difference) and it's bigger. you can still throw the Fit into a corner and it'll grip with no complaints.
i personally would get the Si sedan just cuz i need the convenience. im usually chauefering people around so 4 doors is easier to get in and out of.
now colorwise, i like either the redline orange or the taffeta white...really nice colors.
it usually does that. if it gets excessively loud, i'd suggest getting it checked out. but yea..usually it'll make a click/knock. it'll also "whine" as ur backing up. all this is due to the way that the reverse gear is cut.

i'd personally buy a new one from factory. rebuilds tend to have a lotta problem even tho it's probably the 2nd cheapest. used trannies, you don't know where they've been and who knwos, it might start slippin like your old one. if you buy a trans from factory and get it installed at a Honda...

the USDM accords never came with the H22. that engine was in the Japanese Accord Type-R.
the accord DX and LXs came with non-vtec F22s and the EX came with VTEC F22. you could put a H22 into an Accord if you want tho, take one from a prelude...
if the "brake lamp" light is on in ur 99 Accord, that means u got one or more brake light out...have someone step on the brake pedal while u look at the brake lights and see which one's out.
if it was something more serious, the "brake" light would come on instead of the brake lamp.
