I mean, this "Hair in my food!" thing is getting out of hand. I seriously question whether those hats that have an opening at the top are actually effective.
If they are more than 93-percent green on the outside, you can slice and fry them exactly like potato-based fries, except you won't need to blanch. Chips of these are also nice. One advantage of plantains, is that they don't have as many blemishes as potatoes.
