it doesnt have to be global, it can be like from some eastern countrys fighting together or wateva (like the taiping rebellion - total war in china?19thc)

i know it wasnt exactly global, but was it total in the fact that their civilian populations got behind the war effort, and were targeted, or the countries moblized thier entire resources etc. k kool thanks
