We have a 98 caravan that wont start sometimes,even if you let it set for 10 minutes,other times starts good all day.If we jump it the car lights will not come on? anyone have any idea about these problems?
There could be many reasons why it wont start,I would suggest you get the car scanned for codes at your local parts store if they have one.The reason for this is you will know if something is bad instead of a lot of guessing.
I would guess its either the fuel filter or a throttle position sensor but I would get the vehicle scanned for codes first at a parts store that has the scanner for you to borrow.Our Schucks parts store has the scanner's to borrow.
Do yourself a big favor and go to the parts store and get you a Chilton's manual,it only costs less then 15.00 and you will get your money's worth in no time as you will use it many times for various jobs.I always but the manuals for all the cars I own and over the past twenty years I have saved...
We found out it broke the timing belt causing the engine to quit.Was wondering if any one knows if that would cause the valves to bend on that 3.0 engine?.Thanks in advance for any help out there.

my 98 caravan was running good and it just died like it ran out of gas,I checked for spark at the plugs and had no spark .
any one have any idea where to look at for problem?.Thanks for any help out there in advance.
taking the engine out? We have had the #4 pushrod break and the rocker arm crack on this engine twice now and we would like to take off the head to see if we can find the problem?.Thanks for any info you might have on the subject.
