    Why do people, celebrities in particular, name their kids weird, off-the-wall stuff?

    My sister's friend said that if she had a daughter, she was going to name her Santa Maria! SANTA! WTF. I've seen kids named Precious, Mirakle (Miracle), Hope (not TOO weird), Justice, Empriss, Gorgeous, Love (I could make several sex jokes) et cetera. Celebrites just going insane with random...
