I am an atheist, and I have very strong opinions. And I'm not going to lie, I have been a part of debates (both on Y!A and off) about god and religion. However, at the same time, I think it's a bit silly to debate about these things at this time, because we don't have any information about it...

When a creationist challenges me to a debate saying something like, "how can you believe in evolution?! 17 year olds, but..? ..it's okay for him to go home and watch pornos of 18 year old girls? Yes, I realize that an 18 year old is a legal adult whereas a 17 year old is not, but am I the only one who finds this a bit odd? The two could be only months apart.

Why or why not? I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it but I want to hear other's opinions.
