    Does ANYONE here know the difference between "moot" and "mute" besides me?

    Moot: "not actual; theoretical; hypothetical" Mute: "not emitting or having sound of any kind" So, when someone says something you think is made invalid by another point, it is MOOT, not MUTE. There is a disturbing trend to misuse these terms. Thumbs up to the first person who mentions that...
