    Unlocked phone question?

    I was thinking about buying an unlocked phone off of ebay. 1. Would all I have to do is switch the sim from the locked phone to the unlocked? 2. I am currently on a 3 year plan so when I switch the sim to the unlocked phone, that phone will now be on a 3 year contract?
