    Is a half-hour long "opening" too long for a thriller/horror script/film?

    It will obviously never leave the drawer I inevitably put it in, but let me know what you think. Does a half-hour long opening (with an introductory character that will - by the time the half-hour is up - be killed off), if written right, have the potential to work given the right circumstances...

    What's the point of voting when you know only two parties will win any

    seats, and they're virtually the same? Nothing gets done. That's my assertion - can anybody prove otherwise?
