Whenever I do it to myself it makes my dl go from 2mb to around .5 mb, and im trying to use it for xbox so that has nearly no effect, any way to make it work better?

I programmed it for my tv, because i lost my old one, and everything works but the volume and mute. I held the buttons and they never worked, and the aux button lights up whenever i do anything, and if I click tv it dosn't change it, same with stb. I have the newer remote btw. The whole point...
