    1994 toyota pickup 4x4 battery help?

    i unhooked my old battery and bought a new one and forgot to check which cables go to positive and negative but it has 2 black cables and one white one ive tried putting the white one on the positive and the two black ones on the negative and it dont work???? what gos to what????
