hey, i was hoping for a nice first car, rwd preferably i was looking at a Silvia but my mechanic said they are risky to buy.. any other ideas?

i want to buy a 1990 celica sx but i am not sure if it would be able to fit. could anyone tell me how much it would cost and if it would fit or any engine model suggestions that are not supra but would be powerful. any help would be appreciated :)
