My 2000 ford explorer 4WD 4.0L SOHC V6 has a problem with the blower control resistor. Only the high setting works on the blower speed, so that part needs to be replaced. Well, where specifically is that part at under the hood and how can i tell if the part is bad? Picture diagrams would be nice...

I have tried to plug in other things in that socket, such as my phone charger and it just wont get power. It has been workin fine up until this last week it just randomly quit working. Is there a fuse that needs to be replaced? Everything else on my car is working fine.
