    Do AP classes count for regular classes in high school, or do I still have to

    take the assigned class? I'm planning to take at least one AP class my Junior year of high school, and in this question it's AP European History. If I take it, would it replace my American Studies class (for credit and so on), or would I still be required to take that class?
