    What is the best way to learn a language?

    I love languages, but I speak only English and know a little Latin and Spanish. I really want to learn Japanese, Swedish, and maybe Italian. How would I go about this? How long would it take to become fluent if I apply myself to it fully (assuming I'm not lazy)?
