    Can a dealership tell if you let the oil run dry one oil change ago?

    The oil level was down to one quart, and the oil pressure light went on so I added 5 and then changed the oil. Right when the oil pressure light went on, maybe a bit before or after, I started hearing the engine tick. So basically, I'm trying to claim a lifter under warranty.
