i am thinking about buying an iphone 3G off ebay. but i heard it does not have a horizontal keyboard like the 3Gs does, how can i get one?

if i get an unlocked 3g iphone, will there be any difference then with regular? also if i dont have internet on it, just wi-fi usually, will anything be different? thanks. also i heard the 3G doesnt have video recording? okay, so what is the difference from unlocking and jailbreaking?
