    Using a flash drive to watch videos on dvd player.?

    I have a portable DVD player that has a USB port. I put a video on my flash drive and plugged it into my player, but I can't acess the video; it doesn't show up. The file is a flash video (.flv) do I have to change the format of the video to be able to view it on my player?
