    If I change a bad ac compressor on a 2001 Ford Taurus, is it necessary to change the

    accumulator or leave it ? I have a 2001 Ford Taurus that I now know has a bad ac compressor.The shop told me that if they did the job, they would also change the accumulator. Is it necessary to do this or can I leave it and just change the compressor? Thanks for your help
