I was looking into upgrading my kona kikapu 07. never really had any problems with it but i am looking into getting a new fork and shock. It currently has a Rockshox Dart 2 for the fork and a Rockshox Bar 2.1 for the rear. i am looking to do light jumps and downhill.

My buddy wants a good mountain bike, nothing fancy. Something in the line of specialized, giant, trek, kona, etc. not one of those walmart ones. i was taking a look at the trek 820 but i heard the gear shifter had problems. What kind of bikes do you guys recommend for just a trail. Around...
