    Books about wildlife for volunteers?

    I start volunteering in a couple of weeks at a local humane society. I don't really know anything about the local wildlife (birds, ducks, possums, squirrels). I don't want a book about each species, I'd much rather have a guide to wildlife describing what they eat, their natural environment...

    Is it ok to sit at an unbusy restaurant to use to the wifi?

    If I need somewhere to go to do homework on my laptop, can I sit at a UNBUSY restaurant during the middle of the day? I have this question because I would have a waitress and I don't know if it's considered rude. I'd be there about three hours but I would order food and leave about a 5 dollar...
