    Is uneven rear break pad wear a serious problem on a car?

    I have recently purchased a Honda Civic (2004) and it seems to have this problem. Is it likely to be expensive to repair, is it likely to be covered by my extended warranty. (UK)

    What do you think would be cheaper to maintain a Honda Civic 1.6 petrol or a Vauxhall...

    ...Astra 1.7 CDTi? Both cars are 2004 year and of similar mileage. I know I will save more in fuel with the diesel, but I dont do a high mileage, only 5,000 per year. Thinking Honda parts might be dearer, that said Ive heard that Diesels are generally more expensive to maintain.

    Does anyone know how to do diagnostic testing on an 1999 Alfa Romeo with a 3 pin...

    ...connector? I have heard you can get an adapter to turn the three pin to a standard 9 pin OBD II but what equipment will I need other than that, will a handheld tester do the job or do I need special software for my laptop. Its a 1.6TS with the plastic top engine.
