    Why won't Media Direct work?

    I have Windows Vista & Media Direct is automatically downloaded on it & a couple of weeks ago, it stopped working. When I open it up or insert a disk, it doesn't do anything. What can I do to fix it or is there any other free & safe program I can use to watch DVDs on my laptop?
