Do they make a 2.75 gear ratio kit for a 1977 dana 44 (ford front end)?
Ive got a ford 9 inch rear end that came out of a 1977 ford f-150 custom two wheel drive with a FMX transmission. I also have a identical truck, that is a four wheel drive with the 3.55 gear ratio's in both axles. I would like to swap these rear ends for better gas mileage and a better top-end... -

What type of Transmission/axle is on this 77 Ford?
Found an old 1977 Ford F-150 for cheap earlier, and the door panel says "Trans: A", hence "Axle: 16J" Anybody out there have the manual for this truck? I know a select few of those had the transmission codes in them, or if anyone can find a site with them that would be awesome. I do know it's a...
