Why, when you say "I am cold" in German do they use the dative- "Mir ist kalt", but then when you say "we are cold" they don't- "Wir sind kalt" (instead of "uns ist/sind kalt") ?

I assume there was some basic, primary mathematical principles to designing the shape of the hull. I can't figure it out. When they designed the old tall ships, how did they know which shapes would allow the boat to float, and then to travel well?

...Can you recommend one? I think Apache is probably overkill. I just want something small and simple. Has to run on Vista. It'll be just client-side stuff obviously. Can you recommend a web server?
