If I cook some chicken and leave it over night in tupperware, is it safe to eat the next day? Would it be fine the next day if I don't keep it in the fridge?

It runs fine on the back roads but at highway speed 65-70 when I take my foot off the gas it idles way down, bucks, and recovers.
