    What is humor exactly?

    When we see or notice something that is "funny" what exactly is it that we notice about that thing? What is humor? How do we all recognize it? Also, once we recognize it, why do we as humans feel this innate need to make these "haha" noises in response to whatever it is that we consider humorous?
