okay i'm a student dependent and all and started working, so i read that you stock up the $ in a saving account, you won't know that max fin aid you can get, but if you have it in a checking account, will they know and not give you $$ too?

i went and apply to some classes and it end up total of some $2000 and my finanical aid is around $3000 but how do i apply that finanical aid to my current balance? They say for me to pay the $2000 but the financial aid should cover it. The $2000 is on my account and also the $3000 unused...
