My teacher has us write at least one essay every week. The last essay I did, I got a four -_- so I need to do better in this one. I think it is mainly due to not enough analysis and a crappy thesis. So do you have any advice for me when it comes to writing a thesis?

I can't seem to find any, if I do find any its not enough to help me. I need enough info to tell me what social/political problem the book is attacking, and any, if any, corrective action that came from the book being published. It's for Summer Homework for my English Honors class
