I have a name for my design company, but I found out that in a state where I want to regester the name, that there is all ready a design company with the same name only with the word red in front of it, Is is ethical of me to use the name with a diffrent word after it?

also if I can not, would I be able to add a word onto the original name to stay clear from copyright laws?
