Ok, don't have my PS3 right now, but go somewhere in the settings (can't tell cuz i dont have ps3 around me at the moment, think its the video settings, but idk...), and tell it to make the sound thru the RGB connections.... If you want the audio to go from your TV to your stereo (like mine)...
