    Ford modeo engine didnt turn off after swithing ignition off??????????????? UK

    ONLY PLEASE? when i started my engine it made a banging clanking sound, so i turned it off, but it wouldnt stop turning over..... once at home it stopped, but since then all i get is a clicking sound.....help please. any help is appreciated and UK ONLY PLEASE, ford mondeo 1.8 diesel 1994
