    Photography question, polarising filters, is there anything else can i use?

    what do polarising filters do? i'm going to be taking pictures of fish through (most probably dirty) tanks and i'm worried about getting a reflection instead of the fish or that on the pictures all you'll see is the scratches and dirt on the glass. any tips? not too expensive either.
