Money issues aside, there's no reason you can't have both. Windows Mobile has full html browser capabilities and there are HTC type phones all over the place. Alternatively you can try downloading Opera Mobile or Opera Mini onto your Nokia. The N95 looks very promising as far as smartphones go...

Motorola V710 is another choice. A little buggy in some versions, but you might find it cheaper. I actually have one that I keep around as a backup. I think that they go pretty cheap. Also, check out the Nokia 3589i, it is known the get great reception and you can probably find one cheap.

Are you taking an upgrade from Fido or are you choosing to purchase on your own from another source? If from Fido, go with the SE z520a or Nokia 6670 If elsewhere, go SE w600i, Nokia 6230b Motorola v635 is good as well. For pure performance, just go with the 6230b.
