I tried this....the camera sound is off when profile is in 'Silent.' In the US version there is still camera sound even in 'Silent'? I also noticed this in the version 11 firmware.

It will still be able to use data, just at a slower rate than if it were using UMTS/HSDPA. It supports EDGE as far as I know, so you will be able to use that, and GPRS of course.
