I saw Wolfmother live a few months ago... their live shows are very energetic and that lead singer is out of this world. I don't know if they've got staying power because they're not doing anything original but I'm glad that they brought Woman into our lives. :p:

I'veenjoyed most of his work. Actually made GnR interesting again for a time because he took some of the spotlight away from Axl. Also played (or plays?) with Claypool who I think is a "greatest" bass player.
