    Periodic Trends: Provide an explanation for why K+ is larger than Ca2+?

    I need help explaining why this is? I know that K in neutral form has 19 electrons. The neutral form for Ca is 20. But since Ca has a positive two charge it's electron is now 18. K has one positive charge so it's electron is also 18. How do I explain why K is bigger?

    It says predict which of the following has the higher enthalpy.. 1 mol CO2(s) or 1 mol CO2(g)? 2 mol of Hydrogen atoms or 1 mol of H2?
