Command sponsorship in camp casey Korea?

Have you already been approved for command sponsorship at Casey? Because the last time I was there, there was only a very few people that were given command sponsorship at Casey, due to the fact that it's in Area I and is considered a hardship tour. ADDED: I stand corrected. Thanks for...

What does a former Army soldier need to do in order to enter into the Navy?

Best of luck, but as a rule, the other services don't like ex-Army personnel and it's usually difficult to get in them. However it's easy as hell for service members from other branches to get in the Army.

    Questions on flash grenades?

Don't worry about it...the G-20 summit is already over. You'll have to wait until next year in Muskoka, Canada.

If your in the Army what are some of the best Army bases that you've been to?

I loved Germany when I was there. I was even going to ETS in Germany and stay there, but my German wife flew the coop, so I reenlisted to go back to the States. Pretty much anywhere you go in Germany is pretty nice. Just be sure you don't become a barracks rat and spend all of your time there...

What have you heard about the Norwegian army?

We did some joint security operations with the Norwegians in Kosovo. Pretty friendly group of people, but very lax for my tastes. They acted more like they were on a hiking trip than a combat operation. Be careful with their MREs...they've got some strange stuff in there...

Help, Military running advice, calling everybody, Army, Marines, etc.?

What's your ruck time? I knew guys faster than you who couldn't carry a combat load further than a couple of miles. If you're wanting to do something in the 11 series, you need to put a ruck on your back, combat boots on your feet, and get moving. Since you're already in good shape, 20% of...

Do military police use 10 code as opposed to standard military radio procedure?

No, MPs do not use 10 codes, at least from my experience. Even civilian law enforcement is stopping the use of 10 codes. There's so many different definitions for different departments, it's too confusing, so the use of them is declining. I used to work in law enforcement before I went active...

To all experienced military members preferably Army wives?

CUT THE FREAKING CORD!!! Wives come and go. You need to live YOUR life. If your wife is for that, fine. If not, life goes on. The only exception is if children are involved, and then it's all about them. My wife left me during a deployment. Best thing that ever happened to me!

i have extra duty for a art 15 an i was wondering if i have to go out to the field

Oh, you'll still go out to the field. They'll find some interesting little job for you to keep you busy while you're out there, such as some mundane detail like moving sandbags, digging fighting positions, or just sitting on your butt in the TOC so that you're constantly under adult supervision.

Didn't you ask this exact question a few days ago?

Why do people come on here to diss every branch of the military that they weren't in?

I'll talk smack about Marines or Army Grunts or whatever, but I have respect for them. I've never worked with Navy personnel while I was in the Army, but I work with them now, but still have no issue with them. I was in a National Guard Combat Engineer unit for four years before I went Active...

How long would it take for a modern conventional world war to reach full intensity?

Using the US as an example, they have excellent long-range capacity. They can establish air superiority better than any country on the planet. But the key in any conflict is control on the ground, which would take some time for the US to muster up enough forces, especially if they have another...

How long can an Unaccompanied tour to Korea last for a person in the Army?

It also depends on what part of Korea you're going to. Area I, up close to the DMZ, is not a fun place for military personnel and anyone with any common sense wouldn't bring their family up there, command sponsored or not. Even if NK wasn't acting-up. You've got a regular curfew you have to...

How can I return home from the US Army BCT (Basic Combat Training)?

Be a man and fulfill your responsibility. For those easily offended, I should say "Be an adult and fulfill your responsibility." If you quit at this, it will set the tone for the rest of your life. Anytime anything is difficult, you'll just quit it. You'll also probably look back when...

Fraternization in the Military... I have a question.?

Technically, yes you can, however I doubt you guys will get married, especially if you're in different military branches. Fraternization is when you have a relationship with your chain-of-command, or vice-versa. So if you're sleeping with your company commander or drinking buddies with your...

what job is harder, being a medic for the army or navy and who gets better training?

From what I understand, there is more training available and more opportunities available as a medic in the US Army than as a US Navy Corpsman. The US Army has the largest medical branch in the US military.
