they are not terrible on gas, it depends, a 4 cylinder wrangler will get around 18-19 mpg. whereas a 6 cylinder will get 15-16. the most fuel efficient car ive seen so far is the volks wagon rabbit. it gets a guiness book of world records mpg rating of like 54 mpg.
